Youth Engagement Initiative

NESTAC aims to empower the most disadvantaged children and young people within BAME communities in Greater Manchester, with a focus on asylum-seeker and refugee children and young people. Through our youth projects, they are supported towards their education, learn to achieve their aspirations, develop self-confidence and believe in themselves, so that they can reach their goals.

NESTAC Supplementary School

Since 2010, NESTAC has prioritised the needs for a Supplementary School (NSS), which consistently offers support to disadvantaged children living mainly in Rochdale, with a focus on refugee and asylum seeker children and young people, who regularly arrive in the area through humanitarian governmental programmes and asylum dispersal.

Youth Peer Mentoring

NESTAC engage and train disadvantaged young people living in the most disadvantaged areas in Greater Manchester to develop cross-cultural skills relating to equality and diversity, heritage and cultural values, human rights, and social cohesion.
